Nutrition Requirements Refresher for Social Adult Day Care

Session Description: Join Registered Dietitians Tamar Elkin and Elysa Dinzes for a refresher on nutrition requirements for social adult day programs in New York State. This deep-dive course will cover both NYSOFA and CACFP guidelines. Recognizing that each program has their unique needs, there will also be plenty of time for individual questions.

  • Tamar Elkin, MS, RDN, CDN

Tamar Elkin, MS, RDN, CDN, is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and received her undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences from Rutgers University in New Jersey. She obtained her Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition from NYU in New York City and completed her dietetic internship at Pepperdine University in Malibu.

Tamar works with organizations throughout the tri-state area to provide Nutrition Education for older adults. She has worked with government agencies on various projects, including SNAP Ed, Diabetes Education, Nutrition Counseling, and Regulation Compliance. Tamar works with Elysa Dinzes Nutrition, where she works within both the private and public sectors to provide nutritional analysis, nutrition standard compliance, CACFP oversight, and nutrition education. Tamar is active in her community and is passionate about helping people improve their health.

  • Elysa Dinzes, MPA, RDN, CLT

Elysa Dinzes Nutrition, LLC (EDN), provides an array of consultative services that assist food companies, restaurants, organizations, and individuals with their food and nutrition needs. Their mission is to “help people to live their best lives,” through oversight, compliance, education, and public-private partnerships. With over 20 years of experience in both the food and health industries, Elysa Dinzes founded EDN with this mission in mind and to fill the much-needed gaps between these industries.
