Writing Compliant Policies and Procedures for SADC Programs

Session Description:
Join the New York State Adult Day Services Association (NYSADSA) for an essential training designed to help Social Adult Day Services (SADS) providers develop and maintain policies and procedures that meet state and federal compliance standards. This session will walk participants through the core elements of a compliant policy manual, including how to incorporate regulatory references, implement document control, and manage updates and approvals.
Participants will learn:
- How to align policies with 9 New York Codes, Rules, and Regulations (NYCRR) §6654.20 and Managed Long Term Care (MLTC) oversight requirements.
- Best practices for drafting clear, actionable procedures.
- The legal role of policies and procedures in compliance and audits.
- Tools to manage policy revisions, approvals, and staff training.
This training is ideal for administrators, compliance officers, and program managers responsible for SADS operations. Time will be reserved for questions and answers and resource sharing.
