Which Adult Day Center Is Right for You and Your Family?

• Identify adult day services in your area. See the Members page or contact NYSADSA for a list of centers in your area.
• Contact the centers in your area. Arrange a visit and meet with the staff to determine if the center meets your needs: medical or social model, days and hours of operation, transportation, costs, and eligibility requirements.
• Make a checklist for your visit that includes qualities such as a warm and welcoming environment and staff; comfortable, safe furniture; staff credentials; programs; and services offered.
• If possible, talk to others who have used the center you are considering.
